
This course provides learners with a comprehensive understanding of the structure, functions, and management of tour and travel operations within the tourism industry. It explores the roles of tour operators and travel agents, the processes involved in tour planning, packaging, costing, reservations, ticketing, and customer service. Learners will gain knowledge of both domestic and international travel operations, including itinerary preparation, documentation, and the use of global distribution systems (GDS). Emphasis is placed on ethical practices, sustainable tourism principles, and effective communication skills in meeting client needs. Through practical exercises and case studies, students develop the competencies required to manage and operate tour and travel businesses successfully.
